Learn the skills of an Outdoor Adventure Facilitator with the Outdoor Recreation Center’s Outdoor Leadership Training held from May 4-14. This course focuses on training participants how to lead groups of outdoor enthusiast on a variety of excursions. Each student will learn skills in backpacking, rock climbing and kayaking. Also, elements of Leave No Trace Awareness Certification, safety training and leadership techniques will accompany the skills training throughout the course. Upon completion, students will gain a greater understanding of how to train activity techniques to patrons, provide a safe environment and employ leadership methods; all skills necessary for successful outdoor adventures.
